| Un piccolo poster allegato al 30° numero della rivista di Shogakukan, Weekly Shonen Sunday ha annunciato che il film Lupin III vs. Detective Conan The Movie verrą proiettato nelle sale cinematografiche giapponesi il 7 Dicembre.
Il Sunday aveva gią rivelato in Aprile che il film Lupin III vs. Detective Conan The Movie sarebbe uscito a Dicembre, ma non aveva aggiunto una data precisa, dopo oltre quattro anni dalla trasmissione televisiva dello special Lupin III vs. Detective Conan sulla NTV. Lo special in questione ha conquistato il 19.5% di share.
